life and it's not-so-cute-idiosyncracies

hello there, how are you? hopefully doing great, doing good.

since i hate obligations and compromisos and schedules and routine, i basically stopped blogging because if theres anything worse than a self-obsessed blog, its a self-obsessed blog thats forced to be regular.

it's official, a little over a month ago i became part of the 25-29- or is it 25-30- bracket? if you know me at all, you still might not know my obsession with age and time. not physically aging (well thats a lie) but more the concept of time and how its here one second and then its on to the next with no chance in hell at going back.

people say, its all about the now, move forwards- not backwards, but it doesn't really work that way for me. these past 10 years have been a blur. .15-25- i had a highschool experience where i was left to my own devices while my parents split and did their own thing (perfect timing) i then moved on to what so far has been simultaneously the best and worst time of my life- gainesville. and then i moved back here to join the work force and then opt out 2 years later. and although my time in miami has been extremely fortunate and easy, its been a little depressing because, well, wer're in miami. the biggest faux-city in the world. and with it come faux-people and faux-nightlife. basically one big faux-life.

its interesting to see how the more people age, the more they stay the same. and while i hope im the exception to the rule, i get the feeling that im not and am unable to change that whilst rotting in miami.

as much as i try to live in the present and look to the future, i can't help but yearn for another stint in gainesville, another review of highschool. i felt like i was 17 forever and the next thing i know im 23... now 25. i dont even remember being 24.

and if what my dad says is true, every year is faster than the one before- which im starting to see and feel is the truth.

and what i say is- today is the youngest i'll ever be.

there's nothing else to really say since time machines don't exist and time only goes slowly when standing in a line- except that life is bittersweet and hopefully i wont spend it standing in one place long enough to feel the years.

with that said, im putting it out there so the universe can make it happen- i hope to be out of this joint within 2 years.. hopefully joining my sister in san francisco, opening our own home decor store and enjoying an exponentially better quality of life.

that's all for now-over and out.
